Ed Boon Teases Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter

Arguably one of of video gaming's most requested crossovers, Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter has yet to happen. Mortal Kombat series co-creator Ed Boon tweeted this to Capcom head honcho Seth Killian:

 After 2008's Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe and the upcoming Street Fighter X Tekken and Tekken X Street Fighter, a fighting game crossover between MK & SF is certainly not out of the question.

Of all of the possible fighting game crossovers, a Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter is the one I'd most like to play.  As these two franchises represent the dominant titles of the early 1990's that sold the world on arcade style fighting games, it seems much more logical than pitting Superman vs. Subzero.
